AdaptiveMobile and PromonLogicalis Partner to secure 18 Mobile Networks across Latin America

FutureCom, Sao Paulo, Brazil – 18 October 2016 – AdaptiveMobile, the world leader in mobile network security, today announced at FutureCom 2016 it has partnered with PromonLogicalis, a leading international provider of integrated IT solutions and managed services, to secure 18 mobile networks in Latin America against increasingly sophisticated mobile threats. AdaptiveMobile will bring its industry-leading threat intelligence and award-winning Network Protection Platform (NPP) to Latin America – the first time this best-in-class protection will be widely available in the region. With PromonLogicalis’ significant presence in 10 countries in the region and its strong relationship with all major regional telecommunication players, the partnership will enable carriers to provide a safe environment for the millions of mobile subscribers in Latin America.

As smartphone penetration grows, the need for a frictionless security option is ever-present. The GSMA states that “by 2020, nearly 70% of [Latin American and Caribbean] users will adopt smartphones” and a recent industry analysis report by Technavio complements these growth statistics, stating that the mobile security market in Latin America is expected to grow at a CAGR of nearly 32% from 2015 to 2019.

Brian Collins, chief executive officer of AdaptiveMobile, said “The mobile threat landscape continues to evolve, and as threats increase in complexity it is vital that the world’s critical communications infrastructures are protected.” He continued, “This partnership with PromonLogicalis will enable AdaptiveMobile to work with carriers in the region, protecting the networks and their growing number of consumer and business subscribers from security threats.”

PromonLogicalis’ Latin American presence is its strongest operation worldwide and represents 35% of total worldwide revenues. Renata Randi, alliance and marketing director of PromonLogicalis, reinforced the need to provide a secure mobile environment: “As smartphones spread throughout Latin America’s population, outlaws are using mobile to commit frauds – specifically identity theft and credit card/mobile money crimes,” she said. “With this partnership, PromonLogicalis expands its portfolio to help its customers to avoid the criminals and provide safe services to their customer base.”

AdaptiveMobile’s Network Protection Platform (NPP) is the world’s first converged carrier security platform and provides consistent security, irrespective of device, operating system or the end-user’s technical expertise. To learn more about the award-winning NPP, visit AdaptiveMobile at FutureCom [C-Street, Booth 22] from October 17th to 20th in Sao Paulo, Brazil, or request a meeting by emailing [email protected].
