We are looking for a System Administrator to join our IT Team at Enea head office based in Kista, Sweden. The IT Team is responsible for the IT environment of the Enea group worldwide.

As a System Administrator you will focus on our Microsoft clients, AD and Helpdesk errands. You will also participate in different IT projects. You will be part of an IT team that consists of three senior IT administrators, and you will report to VP IT, all located at the head office in Kista. You will belong to the Swedish IT team but work with both local and global tasks.

As a person you are a skilled problem solver with great patience who places great value in being structured, accurate and systematic. You are analytical and not afraid to come up with new ideas and suggestions for improvement.

We also believe that you are used to working in a service-oriented manner and are good at communicating with different types of people. You enjoy having several different contact points and can easily familiarize yourself with various issues and needs.

Job description:

  • Administrate Microsoft clients and AD
  • Handle Helpdesk errands
  • Updates in various internal system
  • Manage user accounts and technical equipment
  • Participate in different IT projects – both locally and globally
  • Development of the IT environment together with the team


Your skills:

  • Have a computer science education or equivalent experience
  • Experience as an IT system administrator
  • Good communications skills
  • Fluent in English – both written and spoken
  • Knowledge in Swedish is a plus as the workplace is in Sweden

    You need good knowledge in the following systems:
  • PC support
  • AD administration

    It is an advantage if you also have experience in:
  • Intune
  • Autopilot
  • SalesForce
  • Jira, ServiceDesk and Confluence

The successful candidate must have the legal right to live and work in Sweden and the ability to travel internationally as required.

Preferred Experience

Over 5 years of experience in tier 1 mobile carrier and CS core network with areas of system integration, consulting, technical support, troubleshooting and operation with expertise in CS core with roles of Network/Services Engineer and Integration Engineer. Deep understanding of SS7/SIGTRAN signalling system, hands-on experience working with Telecom protocols including ISUP/BICC, SIP, SCCP, MAP, INAP, CAMEL, MTP/M3UA, SCTP, MEGACO/GCP, RANAP and BSSAP.

Experienced in Configuration, Operation & Maintenance of Ericsson CS Core Network an advantage.

Technical Knowledge/ technologies used

  • AXE (GMSC, MSC-S, MSCS-BC, HLR, STP, BSC), APG40&43, APG43L:
  • Configuration, Integration of new Nodes in Core Network;
  • C7 signalling troubleshooting, SCTP, MTP, ISUP, MTP3/M3UA and SCCP routing, A&B-number analysis, EOS- analysis, Routing analysis implementation, GT routing;
  • SIP/SIP-I Configuration in MSC-S, PBX/PABX Configuration, troubleshooting;
  • Nodes interconnection, C7 link definition, testing and putting in service;
  • Definition & Changes required in B-Number analysis table, Routing Case, IMSI Series Analysis;
  • Definition & changing regarding subscriber profiles (in HLR);
  • IMSI Authentication definition;
  • Fault Troubleshooting;
  • Good knowledge in I/O interfaces like APG40, APG43, APG43L.

MGW/CPP Platform:

  • Good knowledge in hardware & software of CPP Node;
  • MGW Configuration, O&M and support;
  • Ensuring Backup of the M-Mgw nodes;
  • Work with Ericsson tools: MOSHELL, OSS-RC, ALEX.

TSP Platform:

  • Knowledge in hardware & software of TSP Node.
  • Knowledge in Configuration, Operation and Maintenance of HSS.
  • Good understanding of technical requirements for GSM&WCDMA Core Network design
  • (architecture/scalability/redundancy/security/load balancing).
  • Deep knowledge in Correction loading, S/W package updating core nodes (MSC, HLR, STP, BSC, MGW) of Ericsson GSM/WCDMA network.
  • Deep knowledge of WinFIOL and Citrix tools.
  • Emergency handling.
  • Good understanding of Routing and Switching
  • Extensive knowledge of Wireshark Network debug tool

Role Overview

The successful candidate will be part of the Support Engineer team reporting to our Customer Support Head, helping to drive innovation and Planning.

The Support team is responsible for 24/7 customer support, delivery and initiate technical communications within the Technical Support Team to share best practices and provide the best solutions to the Customers.

As a Support Engineer, your role is to participate in customer support projects and collaboration with different teams to provide the customer solutions of Enea Adaptive Mobile Security.

You will be expected to apply technical knowledge and skills to solve complex problems and provides solutions which are highly innovative.

The Ideal candidate should be a quick learner, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and curious to learn new technologies, and can combine technical hands-on Customer Support work with the soft skills needed to engage with our customers and other stakeholders. They must be technically adept as per the skills outlined below and having business analysis; communication and customer presentation skills will be considered a plus. A candidate with onsite customer software implementation experience is highly sought after.

Ideally, the candidate should hold a computer science, engineering, or other related degree.

An ideal candidate must have a good attitude, a desire to learn and gain experience and a willingness to travel is essential. Must be fluent in English.

Core role responsibilities:

  • To understand customer needs and business objectives
  • To manage an incident while adhering to SLAs throughout its life cycle.
  • To work within well-defined system support guidelines.
  • Investigating, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and identifying solutions to platform issues.
  • To prioritize and respond to incident alerts and support calls. Determine and coordinate with teams that are critical to the event resolution.
  • To reproduce faults/cause in house related to system/network problems.
  • Take the lead in the development and presentation of post-event root cause analysis reports as required.
  • Execute system configuration changes (change request) as per given access rights and necessary approvals within a stipulated time frame.
  • To participate in internal technical discussions in view to improve overall network performance and make recommendations wherever possible.
  • Participate in technical communications within the Technical Support Team to share best practices and learn about new technologies.
  • collaborate with other Technical Support Engineers on cases to help develop knowledge and skills.
  • Create knowledge base articles to capture new learnings for reuse throughout the organization.
  • Develop and implement feedback mechanisms for use in preventing future support process break downs.
  • Works on unusually complex problems and provides solutions which are highly innovative.
  • Analysis of traffic and tuning of solution for maximum security and value add to Operator
  • Analysis of reports and logs and presentation of results to customer and/or account manager

Preferred experience and knowledge:

  • 4 to 7 years of experience
  • B.Tech / BE - IT/Computers / Electronics & Communications
  • Exp in VAS / DATA system operations and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of Mobile Telecoms networks covering GSM, GPRS and UMTS
  • Preferred knowledge on:
    • Messaging: SMS, SMPP, RCS, MMS & SIP
    • Signaling: SS7, Diameter, GTP-C & 5G
  • Good knowledge on Linux OS, Mysql, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS or Azure
  • Kafka and Kafka Streams, ElasticSearch, Kibana, SQL, REST API
  • Consul, Nginx & haproxy.
  • Perl / shell / Python Scripting
  • TCP/IP, routing, switching
  • Should be able to troubleshoot / debug the issues
